Aerial silks is a type of performance in which one or more artists perform aerial acrobatics while hanging from a fabric. The fabric may be hung as two pieces, or a single piece, folded to make a loop, classified as hammock silks. An artist will then climb the silks and do all kinds of acrobatic drops, splits, and sequences on them. It could be for a photo shoot or performance. This requires a lot of body awareness and mental strength to be able to execute skills. Performers climb the suspended fabric without the use of safety lines and rely only on their training and skill to ensure safety. Aerial silks, also called tissue, began in the circus, but it's now available at camps, dance studios, even clubs.

Aerial silks is a performing art in which there is a long piece of fabric hung from the ceiling or another mount by a hook. Beginners can practice basic moves at home once they've learned them in a class. They use the fabric to wrap, suspend, drop, swing, and spiral their bodies into and out of various positions. Aerial silks may be used to fly through the air, striking poses and figures while flying.

BENEFITS

Many performers complete aerial skills competitions and events, but a lot of people like the benefits of performing. Some of these benefits include strengthening and toning muscles, improving balance and posture, upper body development, feeling of well-being, myofascial tissue/adhesion release, improving core strength, lower body stability, joint rotation and mobility, and increasing one's flexibility. Lessons run in sessions where participants can progress and gain strength as they learn skills. 19가이드03
